Stories inspired by the movie, Gladiator

Gladiator, the Oscar winning movie (Best Picture, Best Actor - Russell Crowe) is the inspiration for the following stories. The writers have tried to remain true to the original spirit of the movie about a general turned gladiator in ancient Rome, and especially to the character of General Maximus as portrayed by Russell Crowe.

Maximus' Story (The Gladiator Prequel),

Almost 400 pages long, and taking a year to write, Maximus' Story is an original cyber novel that follows the life of General Maximus Decimus Meridius from his childhood in Spain to the battle that ends the strife in Germania in A.D. 180. The story is inspired by the movie, Gladiator by Dreamworks and Universal Studios. It has been translated into many languages by fans of the story and movie.

Glaucus' Story (Maximus' Story Sequel),

This is is the continuation of Maximus' Story fifteen years after his death in Rome. Maximus is gone but he lives on through his youngest son, Glaucus, named for his green eyes. Upon learning of his true parentage, Glaucus sets out on an odyssey to put together the puzzle pieces of his father's final days and exact revenge for his death. Go along with Glaucus on his journey and discover unknown episodes in the life of Maximus.
